1. What is the Smart Youth Competition? The Smart Youth Competition is an online reading competition organized by the Flavour for Singles Youth Ministry. It challenges participants to read selected books and answer comprehension questions, with the goal of encouraging reading, critical thinking, and purposeful living. It aims to build a reading culture amongst the youths.
2. Who can participate? The competition is open to all youths from 14 – 35 years.Whether you’re a student, a fresh graduate, or a working professional, you can participate as long as you have access to the internet and a heart ready to learn.
3. How do I register? You can register through the link here. Once you’ve filled in your details and paid the registration fee, you’ll receive further instructions.
4. What is the registration fee? The fee is ₦5000, which gives you access to the competition materials and participation in all stages.
5. Do I get the books immediately after registration? Books are only accessible to those who have paid. If you haven’t paid after registering, kindly complete your payment to get started.
6. How long is the competition? It runs through multiple stages, starting from screening to finals. The exact schedule is communicated after registration.
7. What do I stand to gain? Apart from the amazing prize money (this year’s winner walks away with ₦400,000), you gain exposure to life-changing books, build discipline, improve your comprehension skills, and become part of a supportive learning community. Prizes are also given to the 2nd to 10th position. Consolation prizes will be given to the 11th to 20th position.
