The Smart Youth Competition began in 2020 as an impactful initiative to engage young people. Back then, we had three categories: cooking, reading, and skills acquisition. It was an exciting blend of talents and creativity.
However, as we evolved and listened closely to the heartbeat of our mission, we realized something deeper—many young people had lost the habit of reading. In an age of short attention spans and endless scrolling, we saw the need to rebuild a reading culture.
From 2021 till now, the Smart Youth Competition has been focused solely on reading. But not just any kind of reading. We intentionally select books that stir purpose, identity, growth, and transformation. Books that participants don’t just finish, but remember.
We’ve received amazing testimonies over the years:
