I am Loved by God

So many passages in the bible tells us of the love that God has for us with the most popular being John 3:16 ‘ “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”‘ We’ve heard and read about God’s love for us but sometimes speaking from personal experience, it seems as though we are far from God. Sometimes, it’s like we don’t “feel” God’s love for us whether it’s because of doubt, sin, guilt etc.
Today is a reminder that God loves you. He loves you so much that the Psalmist in Ps. 8:4 says ‘what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? ‘
In the majesty and glory of God, He still love us and cares for us. Whenever, I see this passage, I’m always filled with awe and gratefulness towards God that He loves me even as small as I am.
Romans 8:35 lets us know ‘Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?’. Nothing can separate us from God’s love. I love the way TPT puts it,
‘Who could ever divorce us from the endless love of God’s Anointed One? Absolutely no one! For nothing in the universe has the power to diminish his love toward us. Troubles, pressures, and problems are unable to come between us and heaven’s love. What about persecutions, deprivations, dangers, and death threats? No, for they are all impotent to hinder omnipotent love, ‘.
Sometimes, we feel that God has stopped loving us maybe because we sinned, or our doubts or even because of the situations we find ourselves in. This passage is letting us know that God loves us all the time. Nothing diminishes His love for us, why? Because He is love, it’s His nature to love.
It’s my desire that you come to know and believe the love that God has for you, its depth, breadth and height.
Ephesians 3:18-19 says ‘Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!‘
As you experience the love of God, you must also show God’s love to others according to 1 John 4:11-12 ‘Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us.’
I pray that you experience God’s love in all its dimension and come to an intimate relationship with God.
If you are not born again, know that God loves you so much, He sent His son to die for you. Experience the entirety of His love by praying this prayer “Lord Jesus, I recognize that I’m a sinner. I recognize that you died foe me. Come into my heart Lord and be my personal Lord and saviour. Let me experience your love for me in all its dimensions in Jesus Name”.
