After weeks of reading, learning, testing, writing, and competing, the 5th Edition of the Smart Youth Competition has come to an exciting close! 🎉📚
What began as a challenge to encourage young people to read has once again become a journey of learning, discovery, growth, and transformation.
This year’s competition brought together young people who took on the challenge of reading three books:
- Hidden Treasure
- Bridge to Haven
- 360 Degree Leader
From the first round to the essay stage and finally the oral finale, participants were challenged not only to remember what they had read but to understand, think critically, communicate, and apply the lessons to their lives.

More Than a Competition
When Smart Youth was started, the goal was never simply to find young people who could read the fastest, answer the most questions, or win the biggest prizes.
We started Smart Youth to encourage young people to read — and ultimately, to be transformed by what they read.
We hope that throughout this journey, our participants discovered something much bigger than competition.
We hope you discovered that you are loved by God.
We hope you discovered that there is a treasure inside you waiting to be discovered, developed, and expressed.
And we hope you discovered that you are a leader, regardless of your position.
These are the lessons that remain long after the competition is over.
To Every Participant — Well Done!
To everyone who registered, picked up the books, prepared for the rounds, battled through difficult questions, submitted essays, and showed up for the finale — we celebrate you.
You may not all be leaving with a prize, but we hope you are leaving with something even more valuable: new knowledge, new perspectives, greater confidence, and lessons that will continue to shape you.
Your participation is proof that young people are willing to learn, grow, and challenge themselves when given the opportunity.
