God is in Full Control

How do we respond when life is no longer going our way? David whom I consider the most relatable person in the bible said in Psalm 119:107 “I’m bruised and broken, overwhelmed by it all; breathe life into me again by your living word”(TPT). it is not ungodly to feel overwhelmed by life. We must be truthful and vulnerable enough with God to be able to tell him that you’re overwhelmed. The bible says in Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (NIV) I love how TPT translation puts it, it says “Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Come to me. I will refresh your life for I am your oasis.” Jesus describes himself as our oasis. An oasis is a place in a desert where water is found. This means that in a place or time of dryness, thirst, weariness, confusion, and darkness, he is there to refresh us we just have to come to Him and draw from Him. He is our Oasis.
As believers who strive for growth and maturity, we must let God take the full control over your life and over your situation. The Bible says in Psalm 46:10 “He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” God also made a promise to us when he said in Isaiah 41:10 says “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (NIV). Allow Jesus to be in the driver seat and take a back seat over that issue that you have been struggling to control. Just like the song for the week believe that God will work it out.
